Andrew Payzant
Andrew Payzant is presently a Senior R&D Staff Member in the Materials Science and Technology Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and supervises the x-ray laboratories for both the HTML and CNMS user programs at ORNL. His research interests include development and characterization of ion-conducting ceramics, and the application of in-situ X-ray and neutron diffraction methods for determination of structure, texture, and residual stress in engineering materials. He has coauthored over 75 papers in peer-reviewed journals in addition to over 30 conference proceedings papers and technical reports. He is a member of ASM International, the Neutron Scattering Society of America, and a Fellow of the International Center for Diffraction Data
